Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Night shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients during overnight hours
Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
Perform safe transfer and positioning techniques to promote patient comfort
Document care provided clearly and accurately according to facility policies
Collaborate with the care team to maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
Active or eligible for New Mexico CNA listing or reciprocity
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute settings a plus
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance and safe patient handling
Familiarity with infection control practices and basic clinical observations
Comfortable with charting and following care plans
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and escalate concerns appropriately
Team-oriented mindset with respect for resident dignity and privacy
