Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee the radiology program and ensure smooth daily operations across modalities
• Track incoming radiology studies to ensure proper submission and timely reporting
• Provide PACS training and troubleshoot transcription or imaging workflow issues
• Ensure radiology equipment is maintained, inspected, and compliant with regulations
• Create and maintain radiology policies and procedures, and manage MQSA requirements
• Manage the radiation protection monitoring program for all staff exposed to radiation
• Partner with administrators, medical directors, and Finance to optimize quality and revenue capture (chargemaster oversight)
• Ensure all quality assurance/control activities are completed and prepare required reports
• Perform lead apron testing and verify competency of staff performing radiologic exams
• Supervise radiology staff daily, complete timely evaluations, and foster a strong team environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology
• ARRT certification required
• Registered Mammographer preferred; Registered US Technologist preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Minimum 5 years experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred
• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations relevant to radiology services

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in multiple computer systems and document medical information cleanly
• Experience with digitized imaging and MQSA processes
• Competence in radiation safety and radiation protection monitoring
• Familiarity with chargemaster/revenue capture processes and working with Finance
• Proven supervisory skills: staff training, competency assessment, and performance evaluation
• Skilled at multi-tasking, creating radiology manuals, and leading quality assurance/control efforts
