Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor intravenous chemotherapy and biologic therapies with precision and compassion
• Manage infusion devices including CADD pumps and infusion pumps safely and accurately
• Access, maintain and troubleshoot central lines, PICCs and implanted ports
• Monitor patients for chemotherapy side effects and intervene promptly for oncologic emergencies
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, home care and symptom management
• Administer blood and blood products and manage body-fluid handling post-chemotherapy
• Document care in Epic and maintain accurate, timely charting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (pharmacy, social work, IV teams, rapid response) to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of relevant oncology nursing experience
• BLS required; Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) required; OCN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Flu vaccine required (facility guideline: no exemptions)
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and meet weekend coverage requirements

• Administration of blood and blood products
• Neutropenic and isolation precautions / PPE
• Recognition and management of oncologic emergencies (e.g., sepsis, anaphylaxis, tumor lysis)
• Patient/family education on chemo, BMT/CAR T, symptom management and advanced directives
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record
