Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Perform routine vital signs, observe changes in condition, and report concerns to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and mobility while following facility protocols
• Document care accurately and promptly in resident charts or electronic records
• Assist with meal times, personal hygiene, and promoting resident comfort and dignity
• Collaborate with nursing team to create a positive, resident-centered environment

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification/license (required)
• Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Ability to pass background and health screenings per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Comfort working in a fast-paced care setting and following clinical protocols

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care practices
• Skill in safe resident transfers and fall prevention techniques
• Competence taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and personal protective equipment
• Good documentation and time-management skills
• Ability to follow care plans and verbal/written instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Dependability and the ability to adapt to changing resident needs
