Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Support infection control and safety protocols to keep patients and staff safe
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to enhance care continuity

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (or ability to obtain state certification) — required
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Ability to pass facility background check and any required screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved CNA program; state CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Skill in measuring and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Good teamwork, communication, and time-management abilities
