Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care to support daily living activities
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics for lifts
• Communicate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members about patient needs
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients safe
• Help create a comforting environment that respects patient dignity

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Prior experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient hygiene
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety practices
• Comfortable with patient transfers and mobility assistance
• Basic documentation and charting skills; attention to detail
• Teamwork-oriented with good communication and empathy
