Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor patients using advanced telemetry and vital sign equipment to ensure safety and early detection of changes
Perform thorough assessments and deliver timely interventions that can make a life-saving difference
Administer complex medications and titrate IV drips with precision and care
Provide specialized nursing care for post-surgical, cardiac, and neuro patients
Collaborate daily with physicians and therapists to create personalized care plans
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge steps so they feel confident going home
Keep accurate, real-time documentation that supports excellent continuity of care

Qualifications

Active Michigan RN license
Minimum 2 years of RN Stepdown/Progressive Care experience
Telemetry monitoring experience required
Cerner experience required

Knowledge & Skills

Patient monitoring and telemetry interpretation
Assessment and rapid intervention skills
Complex medication and IV drip management
Care for vent and stroke patients
Interdisciplinary collaboration
Patient and family education
Accurate clinical documentation
