Roles & Responsibilities

• Float across multiple PCU/IMC units within Zone 1, providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips (Dopamine, Dobutamine, Cardizem, Amio), insulin, Ativan, and heparin with confidence
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care across facilities
• Adapt quickly to different units and patient acuities, maintaining a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Contribute to a dynamic team environment by filling scheduling gaps and supporting permanent staff

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent PCU/IMC experience required
• Active and unencumbered RN license in Colorado (or compact state with ability to obtain CO license)
• Prior experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and Ativan is a must
• Neuro experience and Epic proficiency highly preferred
• Willingness to float throughout Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) and adhere to 60-mile radius policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in interpreting and titrating cardiac drips and managing complex medication regimens
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for diverse patient populations
• Comfortable with floating to different units and adapting to new environments quickly
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with facility staff
• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
