Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and respond promptly to patient changes
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed while delivering excellent care
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not be currently employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac monitoring and drip titration expertise
EEG monitoring experience
Strong critical thinking and communication abilities
Ability to problem-solve quickly in high-acuity situations
Positive attitude and collaborative team spirit
