Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for surgical patients
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Respond to on-call needs within a one-hour window to support patient care
- Float to support other areas as needed while maintaining high-quality care standards
- Document patient progress accurately using Epic EMR
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Previous ED or ICU experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work variable start times and occasional on-call shifts
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in post-anesthesia care
- Comfort managing ICU-level patients in the PACU setting
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit demands
