Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Float Pool
Location: Garden City, Kansas
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across multiple MS-Tele units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
- Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities in Garden City, Dodge City, and Ulysses as needed
- Monitor and titrate Heparin drips while caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses
- Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to maintain safe 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratios
- Respond to low-census call or standby requests when required and maintain flexibility to fill scheduling gaps
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
- Neuro experience preferred along with familiarity using Alaris pumps and EPIC charting
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills across cardiac, neuro, and post-surgical populations
- Ability to float between varying acuity levels including ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
- Comfortable reading telemetry strips and working with monitor tech support
- Excellent communication and adaptability for Just-In-Time assignments and multi-facility floating
