Registered Nurse - MS/Tele/PCU Float Pool
Location: Prescott, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Float between MedSurg Tele and PCU units across both campuses providing expert nursing care
- Manage titratable drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to patient changes
- Care for post-cardiac cath, post-MI, and CABG patients on day 3-4 recovery
- Monitor and support patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high-flow oxygen therapy
- Collaborate with charge nurses and nursing assistants to deliver safe, high-quality care
- Receive unit assignments via text message 2 hours before shift start and travel between campuses as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience
- Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts before contract signing
- Comfortable managing multiple titratable cardiac and vasoactive drips
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
- Experience with PCU-level patients and step-down care
- Ability to float between MedSurg Tele and PCU units seamlessly
- Competent with CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high-flow oxygen equipment
- Excellent communication and adaptability for last-minute unit assignments
