Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Various 12.5-hour shifts including days, nights, and weekends as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, specialized care to critically ill newborns in the NICU
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage ventilators
Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Educate and support families during their baby's stay
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety protocols

Qualifications

Current RN license in Virginia (or compact state)
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
Minimum 2 years of NICU experience preferred
Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in neonatal assessment and care
Proficiency in ventilator management and monitoring equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
Compassionate approach to patient and family care
