Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a variety of patients including those with COVID, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-surgical needs
Interpret telemetry strips and sign documentation at least once per shift
Collaborate with remote monitor techs and the care team to ensure patient safety
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to support hospital-wide needs
Administer set-rate drips such as Diltiazem and manage non-titratable medications
Support patients through their recovery journey with both general and specialized surgical care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some experience with general, orthopedic, and spinal surgical patients, CVA, and TIA preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and strip reading
Care for COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetic, and post-surgical patients
Familiarity with Cerner documentation system
Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and nurse aides
Flexibility to float to other units or campuses as needed
