Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to ensure safe outcomes
Assist with deliveries, including cesarean sections and emergency procedures
Educate patients on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create personalized care plans
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in New York state
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery or Maternity nursing
Current ACLS and BLS (BCLS) certifications
Ability to work night shifts, including every other weekend and holidays
Quick-start availability and flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Strong mother-baby care and neonatal resuscitation skills
Excellent patient education and communication abilities
Team collaboration and critical thinking in high-stress situations
Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems
