Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for laboring patients from 33 weeks and above in a high-volume birthing center
• Independently attend deliveries and circulate during C-sections with confidence and skill
• Assist with catching babies and transitioning newborns to ensure safe, positive outcomes
• Titrate critical drips including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin while monitoring patient response
• Support high-risk pregnancies including preeclampsia, diabetes, and patients with psychosocial needs
• Function seamlessly across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care within one cohesive unit
• Collaborate with 24/7 in-house OB hospitalists, neonatologists, and anesthesia providers for optimal patient care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Intermediate or advanced fetal heart monitoring preferred
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience (1 year considered with multiple prior travel assignments)
• Comfortable attending deliveries independently and circulating C-sections
• No first-time travelers accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• LDRP nursing expertise with ability to handle high-risk obstetric cases
• Strong fetal monitoring interpretation skills
• Experience with Centricity perinatal EFM system
• Ability to transition newborns and provide routine mom-baby care
• Comfort working with surgical techs and patient care assistants in a collaborative environment
• Adaptability to unit workflows, policies, and constructive feedback
