Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs during labor
Assist with deliveries and emergency procedures
Educate new mothers on newborn care and breastfeeding
Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure positive outcomes

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Labor and Delivery
NRP certification preferred
Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Knowledge of obstetric emergencies and interventions
Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR)
Compassionate patient care and family support
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
