Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; includes weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Float Pool across Med-Surg, Telemetry, Step Down, and ICU units.
Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques and state regulations.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized patient care plans.
Document patient care accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with standards.
Participate in performance improvement activities and shared governance to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of ICU and/or Cardiac Telemetry experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Willingness to float to Med-Surg as needed

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac and critical care skills
Proficiency in Point Click EMR
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple patient care needs in a fast-paced environment
