Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts; specific start and end times and days to be determined (facility lists 12-hour shift length)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care nursing for adult ICU patients
Assess, monitor, and manage complex patient conditions with vigilance
Administer medications and therapies safely and document care accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient-centered plans
Respond to emergencies and perform advanced nursing interventions when needed
Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity about care plans

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana required
Experience in ICU nursing; comfortable with high-acuity patients
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
Comfortable with ventilator management, titratable drips, and critical care equipment
Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening as required

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical care assessment and decision-making skills
Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator basics
Skilled in IV medication administration and titration
Clear communication and teamwork in high-pressure settings
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
