Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess, triage and prioritize emergency patients with speed and compassion
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on care plans
Perform emergency procedures and monitor patient responses
Document patient assessments, interventions and outcomes clearly
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and follow-up
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards and infection control

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — ability to practice in California preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS highly desirable
Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency environment with strong critical thinking
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Current TB screening and immunizations per facility requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing assessment and triage principles
Cardiac monitoring, IV therapy and medication administration
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
Clinical decision-making under pressure and time management
Patient- and family-centered care with strong interpersonal skills
