Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all acuities
Float across multiple ERs in Zone 4 (Garden City, Dodge City, Ulysses) to support staffing needs
Triage patients, assess vital signs, and initiate life-saving interventions
Administer medications, IV drips, and point-of-care lab testing
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in patient status
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC charting system

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state (NLC)
Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications from AHA
Willingness to float within a 60-mile radius zone
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in high-pressure situations

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC electronic health records
Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
Ability to manage a 1:4-5 patient ratio based on acuity
Comfortable with common ER diagnoses: abdominal pain, stroke, trauma, STEMI, etc.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
