Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned patients
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Support patients and families with education, discharge planning, and emotional support
• Respond promptly to patient needs and assist in emergency situations as required

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (LPN applicants may be considered depending on assignment; Class: LPN|RN noted)
• Active, unrestricted nursing license in the state of New Mexico (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain upon hire) recommended
• Clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to work per diem schedule and adapt to variable shift assignments

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN program as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Care planning and patient education techniques
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems
• Team collaboration, prioritization, and time management
