Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs and create individualized care plans that make a measurable difference
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to coordinate comprehensive nutrition care
• Provide patient- and family-centered education to empower healthier choices
• Document nutrition assessments and interventions clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans based on clinical changes and outcomes
• Participate in orientation and onboarding to ensure smooth integration into the team

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required
• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field; ACEND-accredited internship preferred
• Current required state licensure or ability to obtain licensure in California
• Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong communication skills and experience working in a clinical or pediatric setting a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (required)
• ACEND-accredited supervised practice/internship (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical nutrition assessment and care planning
• Pediatric nutrition principles (preferred)
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Interdisciplinary teamwork and effective patient/family education
• Ability to adapt care plans based on evolving clinical needs
