Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Design and lead engaging recreational therapy programs that uplift mental health and well-being for patients
Collaborate with the mental health team to create personalized activity plans that make a real difference
Facilitate group and individual sessions fostering social skills, emotional growth, and joy
Assess patient needs and track progress to ensure meaningful therapeutic outcomes
Adapt activities creatively to meet diverse patient goals in a dynamic prison environment

Qualifications

Active Recreational Therapist license or certification
Experience in mental health settings is a plus
BLS certification preferred

Strong understanding of recreational therapy techniques in mental health
Excellent group facilitation and patient engagement skills
Creative problem-solving to tailor activities effectively
Compassionate communication for building trust with patients
