Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7 on/7 off, 10-hour night shifts, 8:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Verify and process medication orders in Epic, ensuring accuracy and safety
Collaborate with nursing staff to triage and respond to medication-related inquiries
Prepare and dispense medications, including sterile compounding for patient needs
Respond to code blue and other emergencies, assisting with medication preparation
Review and adjust medication administration times as needed
Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals

Qualifications

At least 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience
Active Texas Pharmacist license or ability to obtain
BLS Certification required
EPIC experience preferred
Strong clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical pharmacy knowledge for high-acuity care
Sterile compounding techniques
Order verification and medication reconciliation
EPIC charting system proficiency
Effective communication and collaboration with healthcare team
