Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MSK, neuro, and body MRI scans for inpatients and outpatients
• Start IVs and perform creatinine draws as required for imaging procedures
• Operate Philips or Siemens 1.5T MRI equipment and follow safety protocols
• Use PACS/EMR systems (Meditech, Synapse, MEDHOST) to document studies accurately
• Provide compassionate patient assessment and care before, during, and after scans
• Float between College Station and Bryan campuses as needed to support patient care
• Serve as a preceptor when called upon to train and mentor newer staff
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond professionally during after-hours coverage

Qualifications

• ARRT (MR) certified (Certified MRI Technologist required)
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Medical Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
• Minimum ~2 years MRI experience (department lists 2 years of experience)
• Hands-on experience with Philips or Siemens MRI systems and 1.5T equipment
• Comfortable with IV starts and creatinine draws
• Familiarity with PACS/EMR systems: Meditech, Synapse, MEDHOST
• Willingness to float between College Station and Bryan and to participate in on-call rotation
• Note: Candidates may not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year; PRN employed through outside firms will be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient MRI scanning techniques across MSK, neuro, and body imaging
• Strong patient assessment and bedside care skills
• IV insertion and contrast management
• Experience with Philips and Siemens MRI platforms (1.5T preferred)
• Competent use of PACS and EMR systems (Meditech, Synapse, MEDHOST)
• Understanding of MRI safety standards and hospital acute care workflows
• Ability to precept and mentor colleagues when needed
• Flexibility to adapt to floating between nearby campuses
