Contract Type: Per-Diem

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out with professionalism
Take vitals, obtain patient histories, and prepare patients for provider exams
Perform point-of-care testing and basic lab tasks such as phlebotomy
Administer medications or injections per clinic protocols and provider orders
Assist providers during exams and minor procedures to ensure efficiency and safety
Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR and ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation
Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and communication between patients and the care team

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Previous ambulatory/clinic experience preferred (hands-on patient care experience a plus)
Strong communication skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic environment
Ability to pass background checks and required onboarding/orientation

Education

High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Proficient in taking vitals, performing phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
Knowledge of infection control and standard clinical safety practices
Patient-centered communication and customer service skills
Good organizational skills and ability to multitask during busy clinic shifts
