Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Tuesday-Saturday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate psychiatric care to patients in a correctional or medical setting
Administer medications and monitor patient responses
Document patient progress and maintain accurate charts
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques

Qualifications

Valid Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license in California
CPR certification (BLS) required
Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings preferred
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Understanding of psychiatric medications and interventions
Ability to perform patient assessments and document accurately
Knowledge of crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques
Proficiency in electronic charting systems
