Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as scheduled), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Night shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
Monitor and document patient status, reporting changes to the care team
Collaborate with RN/LPN colleagues, physicians, and allied staff to coordinate care
Respond promptly to clinical emergencies and escalate appropriately
Maintain accurate electronic and paper records in accordance with policy
Support patient and family education with compassion and clarity
Uphold infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Active LPN or RN license in good standing (appropriate for your role)
Previous clinical experience preferred; per diem or acute care experience a plus
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

LPN: Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent
RN: ADN or BSN (as applicable to licensure and role)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and monitoring
Medication administration and documentation
Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
Basic emergency response and triage skills
