Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric clinic patients following established standards and scope of LPN licensure
Take and document vital signs accurately and monitor patients for changes
Triage patient calls effectively, assess urgency, and escalate to providers when needed
Process prescription refills and complete necessary prior authorizations in a timely manner
Serve as a primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinic staff to ensure smooth care coordination
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient needs and clinic workflows
Provide direction to CNAs and Schedulers and follow clinical direction from RNs, providers, and clinical managers
Maintain current clinical knowledge and meet state/federal continuing education requirements

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (required)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN/Vocational Nursing)
Comfortable triaging patient calls, handling prescription refills, and completing prior authorizations
Ability to give direction to CNAs and work closely with schedulers and clinical staff
Strong communication and teamwork skills; dependable and patient-focused

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care and pediatric clinical skills
Taking and interpreting vital signs
Telephone triage and patient call management
Medication refill processes and prior authorization workflows
Basic Life Support (BLS) procedures
Interdisciplinary collaboration and supervision of support staff
Scheduling coordination, clear communication, and teamwork
