Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to residents to promote comfort and enhance quality of life
- Lead and support resident assistants with coaching, training, and education on nursing techniques
- Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, nursing standards, and regulations
- Coordinate individualized plans of care and ensure accurate medication administration
- Uphold the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
- Maintain a safe environment through universal precautions and proactive safety awareness
Qualifications
- Active Alaska LPN licensure required
- Current BLSP (CPR) certification from American Heart Association required
- 1 year of long term care nursing experience preferred
- New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place
Education
- Associate's degree in nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical leadership skills
- Ability to coach and educate nursing support staff
- Commitment to safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and resident advocacy abilities
