Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide prescribed medications and ensure accurate medication dispensing to support safe patient care
• Deliver medication education and counseling so patients and families understand therapy and outcomes
• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care that supports safe, effective, and timely patient outcomes
• Maintain the highest standards of pharmacy practice and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize medication therapy
• Participate in medication safety and quality improvement initiatives across the health system
• Document clinical interventions and communicate effectively to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program (required)
• Current Kansas Pharmacist License or eligibility for licensure (highly preferred)
• Prior hospital/inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong patient counseling and communication skills
• Commitment to regulatory compliance and safe medication practices

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program

• Patient counseling and medication education
• Comprehensive pharmaceutical care and clinical decision-making
