Roles & Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral exams to promote oral health
Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and dietary habits
Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosis
Apply fluoride and sealants to prevent decay
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately
Collaborate with dentists and staff to ensure a positive patient experience

Qualifications

Current Dental Hygienist license in Maryland
CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and commitment to patient care

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in dental hygiene instrumentation and procedures
Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
Ability to educate and motivate patients
Comfortable with digital radiography and dental software
