Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in a high-acuity CVOR setting with 16 operating suites
• Collaborate with top surgeons on open heart, TAVR, endovascular, and thoracic cases
• Scrub in to hold the heart and assist in closing the chest during critical procedures
• Manage patient care before, during, and after surgery ensuring the best outcomes
• Float to General OR as needed, maintaining flexibility across the unit
• Participate in call rotation - just one weekday per week and one weekend per month

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state - we welcome travelers!
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• At least 1-2 years of recent CVOR experience with open heart and endovascular cases
• Scrubbing experience required - ready to hold the heart and close chests
• Epic experience is a plus; we'll help you get up to speed
• Must live outside the 60-mile radius to qualify for travel benefits

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in open heart, TAVR, endovascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Strong scrubbing skills for cardiac cases
• Proficiency with Epic EHR for documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced OR environment
• Ability to adapt quickly and float between units as needed
