Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations of all body parts for interpretation
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment; set up and run automatic injector and manage contrast protocols
• Assist with invasive/interventional procedures and maintain sterile technique
• Provide age-appropriate patient care from newborns through geriatrics
• Maintain patient records, perform daily/weekly QC, and care for imaging equipment
• Participate in supply inventory, ordering, and departmental quality assurance
• Transfer patients to and from radiology and assist with clinical workflow
• Rotate shifts, take on-call duties, and follow SEARHC policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality
• Willingness to be cross-trained and work across modalities (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography)
• Competence in contrast administration, venipuncture, sterile technique, and teleradiology transmission
• Able to take call and report to work within 20 minutes

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography
• Clinical competency within 3 months of hire (reassessed every three years)

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) and Radiography / X-ray expertise
• Radiation safety and quality assurance
• Contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Teleradiology transmission and sterile technique
• Patient care across the lifespan including pediatric and geriatric adjustments
• Equipment care, record maintenance, and supply inventory management
