Shift Type: Rotating day and night shifts (assigned schedule). Typical assigned schedule example: Thursday & Friday plus alternating weekends, 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM (day). Schedule may include 10- and 12-hour day or night shifts; schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance. Optional on-call with 45-minute response.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform routine CT exams for inpatient, outpatient and emergency departments with confidence
• Provide trauma CT imaging support, ensuring rapid and accurate acquisition during critical cases
• Start IVs for outpatients when needed and support contrast administration safely
• Assist with advanced procedures including cardiac CT, biopsy/drain procedures, and cryo/microwave ablation support
• Operate and document studies in EPIC and SECTRA PACS, maintaining accurate patient records
• Collaborate closely with on-site radiologists and the imaging team to optimize patient care
• Follow radiation safety protocols and wear required radiation badge prior to starting assignment
• Float to X-ray when needed to support ED, inpatient, and outpatient X-ray coverage

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (required)
• ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certification (verified/current)
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience (as listed)
• Comfortable performing trauma imaging and high-volume CT work
• IV insertion skills helpful and often required for outpatient work
• Radiation badge required prior to starting this travel assignment
• Ability to work assigned rotating day/night schedules and occasional weekend/holiday shifts

Education

• No BSN required (not applicable for this role)
• ARRT certification required (CT and R)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Computed Tomography (CT) and Trauma CT protocols
• Experience with PACS and EMR systems: SECTRA and EPIC
• Familiarity with GE Revolution CT systems (GE REV CT and GE REV HD)
• Skilled in IV starts and contrast administration
• Able to support biopsy/drain procedures and cryo/microwave ablation cases
• Comfortable using Windows-based clinical software and departmental IT tools
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-care focused skills
