Shift Type: Night shifts, 12-hour nights, days off variable (Full-time nights; 12-hour shift length; schedule varies by rotation)

Hours per Week: 36

Bill Rate: $44.64 - $60.26/hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality CT and general diagnostic radiographic exams using established protocols
Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely and competently, including setup and quality control
Prepare and administer contrast media and perform intravenous contrast injections per policy
Ensure patient care and comfort through proper positioning, communication, and monitoring
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation for imaging procedures
Enforce radiation protection, quality assurance, and departmental policies and standards
Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical teams to support excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services
Approved CPR certification
ARRT certification and fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire (as required)
Desired: radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification
Desired: advanced CT certification and prior CT experience (1 year preferred)
Desired: two years of diagnostic x-ray experience
Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient-care skills

Education

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and CRT (California) certification

Knowledge & Skills

Cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging principles
Patient positioning and compassionate patient care
Principles of radiographic exposure, radiation physics, protection, and radiobiology
Quality assurance and equipment operation/maintenance
Intravenous contrast administration and venipuncture skills
Familiarity with ARRT standards of ethics and departmental policies
