Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients during night shifts
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient conditions accurately
• Communicate changes in patient status to the nursing team in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Support admission, discharge and transfer processes as needed
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies consistently

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) - required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and adapt to per diem scheduling
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and performing physical tasks safely
• Pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic nursing care and infection control
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
• Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Teamwork and collaboration with RNs, LPNs, and support staff
• Compassionate bedside manner and resident-focused care
