Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, making their day safer and more comfortable
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
• Take and record vital signs, and promptly report any changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Help with safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to ensure a healthy environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support comprehensive patient care

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active or eligible for Pennsylvania CNA listing or state authorization
• Current basic life support certification such as BLS/CPR preferred
• Previous CNA or direct care experience preferred but not required for some per-diem roles
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care skills focused on dignity and comfort
• Ability to monitor and report changes in patient condition
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Understanding of infection prevention and safety practices
• Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
