Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support, using appropriate body mechanics
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident conditions accurately and promptly
• Document care provided and communicate changes in resident status to the nursing team
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents' hydration and nutrition needs are met
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain promptly
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and supporting a diverse resident population
• Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience a plus

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Safe resident transfer and mobility techniques
• Accurate charting and basic electronic medical record familiarity
• Team communication and resident advocacy
