Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and timely in patient charts and care plans
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
• Support safe mobility and fall prevention efforts during daily routines
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Current basic infection control knowledge and comfort working in long-term care settings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset
• Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, immunizations) as required by the employer
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or obtained upon hire if required by facility

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and care teams
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs

This per-diem role is based in Rio Rancho, just northwest of Albuquerque.
