Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 05-25-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift (exact start/end times and days to be confirmed with the facility per the posting)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Support safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to maintain resident comfort
Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
Assist with feeding, hygiene, and toileting while promoting dignity and independence
Document care accurately and timely in the facility records
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver consistent care

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain state certification
Current CPR/basic life support preferred or willingness to obtain
Successful background check and compliance with facility screening requirements
Up-to-date immunizations and TB testing per facility policy
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Previous experience as a CNA is a plus but new graduates are encouraged to apply

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
Basic understanding of infection control and safety procedures
Ability to follow care plans and document observations clearly
Effective interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a care team
