Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 05-08-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift; specific start/end times and days to be confirmed (schedule to be provided by facility)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, toileting) with compassion and respect
Take and record vital signs and report any concerns to the nursing staff promptly
Support mobility and transfers safely, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Provide attentive, person-centered care that preserves dignity and comfort
Document care activities accurately in resident records and communicate changes clearly during handoff
Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and contribute to positive resident outcomes

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
Valid state authorization to work as a CNA in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain same
Comfortable performing physical tasks associated with resident care and transfers
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
Accurate documentation and effective shift-to-shift communication
Infection control practices and safe patient handling basics
Ability to follow care plans and respond to resident needs promptly
