Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate personal care to residents including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support while following care plans and safety protocols
- Take and record vital signs, report changes in condition to nursing staff, and ensure accurate documentation
- Support feeding and mealtime needs, including assistance with special diets and adaptive equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, adhering to infection control standards
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families, offering respectful communication and emotional support
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to execute resident care plans effectively
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Connecticut (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Current TB test and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
- Background check and drug screen clearance as required by facility
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate resident-centered care and work well in a team
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA program and current state certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic patient care tasks and ADL support
- Comfortable with documentation and charting of resident care and observations
- Strong communication skills for interactions with residents, families, and team members
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols
- Ability to follow care plans and escalate clinical changes appropriately
- Dependable time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
