Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Support mobility, transfers, and positioning to preserve dignity and independence
Assist with meal service and ensure proper hydration and nutrition
Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with colleagues

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Connecticut (required)
Valid BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Demonstrated ability to provide patient-focused care with compassion
Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings
Reliable attendance and the ability to work collaboratively on a team
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside manner skills
Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, assisting with ADLs, safe transfers
Good communication and documentation skills
Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nursing staff
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
