Location: Detroit & Warren, MI
Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day) with shared on-call coverage (2:1) and occasional travel between sites

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiac electrophysiology care across sites
- Perform pacemaker and ICD implantations with attention to safety and outcomes
- Execute right- and left-sided ablation procedures for complex arrhythmias
- Participate in inpatient rounding during call weeks and coordinate care with APPs
- Build and manage a robust patient panel leveraging strong internal referral streams
- Collaborate with EP cardiologists, APRNs, cardiovascular thoracic surgeons and support teams
- Contribute to medical education by mentoring residents and fellows in a teaching hospital
- Provide high-acuity care in Level I and Level III trauma center settings
Qualifications
- MD or DO with completion of Cardiology fellowship and subspecialty Electrophysiology training
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiology with EP subspecialty certification
- Active or eligible medical license for the State of Michigan
- Proven experience performing device implantations (pacemaker/ICD) and EP ablations
- Comfortable providing inpatient and outpatient care and participating in an on-call rotation
- Experience using Cerner; openness to transition to Epic (planned late 2025–early 2026)
- Strong communication and teaching skills for working with learners and multidisciplinary teams
- No visa sponsorship (must be authorized to work without employer sponsorship)
- No 1099/independent contractor arrangements — position is permanent employment
Education
- MD or DO degree
- Completed Cardiology fellowship and subspecialty training in Cardiac Electrophysiology
- Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology with EP subspecialty
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmia management
- Technical skill in pacemaker and ICD implantation and both right- and left-sided ablations
- Ability to manage inpatient rounding, consults and continuity outpatient clinics
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR and readiness for Epic transition
- Experience collaborating with APRNs, CT surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
- Teaching and mentoring skills for residents and fellows in a high-volume academic center
- Comfort managing high-acuity patients in trauma center environments
- Adaptability to travel between hospital sites and manage a busy referral-driven practice
