Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced critical care to cardiovascular ICU patients with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor hemodynamic status using Swan Ganz catheters, arterial lines, and EV1000 technology
• Manage ventilators, chest tubes, and central lines with precision and confidence
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of RNs, charge nurses, and physicians for the best patient outcomes
• Document accurately in Meditech EMR and maintain a calm, organized environment in high-acuity situations

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience in adult ICU, CVICU, or Neuro ICU
• Hands-on experience with ventilator management
• Arterial line, central line, and chest tube management skills
• CVICU-specific experience, CABG recovery, CRRT, or Impella preferred
• BSN or CCRN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring including Swan Ganz
• Comfortable with GE monitors, EV1000, and Hemispheres
• Experience with CRRT (NextStage) and Impella
• Strong EMR documentation skills in Meditech
• Excellent critical thinking and ability to stay calm under pressure
• Collaborative spirit and a true team-player attitude
