Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse patient population
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators, including Hamilton G5/C1/T1 and V60, to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide expert airway management, including intubation support and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Document accurately in the Meditech EMR and adhere to all unit policies and guidelines

Qualifications

• Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential from the NBRC
• Minimum of 6 months of current acute care RRT hospital experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• CRT or NBRC certification accepted
• Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred
• PEDS, NICU, or PICU experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ventilator management and airway management
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-acuity settings
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and respiratory therapy documentation
• Knowledge of pediatric and neonatal respiratory care (preferred)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, energetic, and patient-focused approach
