Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse Med/Surg population, maintaining a safe and compassionate environment
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments using Alaris pumps and other equipment
• Monitor patient vitals and recognize subtle changes, responding quickly to emergencies
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
• Document accurately in Meditech EMR to ensure continuity of care
• Uphold quality standards and participate in patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state (NLC)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Flexible schedule availability including weekend rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Med/Surg nursing standards and best practices
• Proficiency with wound vacs, IV pumps, and telemetry monitoring
• Excellent critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to manage a 6:1 patient ratio with confidence and composure
• Team collaboration and clear communication with patients, families, and staff
