Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans that help patients regain independence and confidence
  • Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve motor skills, coordination, and daily living abilities
  • Document patient progress accurately and communicate observations with the therapy team to optimize care
  • Bring energy and encouragement to every session, helping patients stay motivated on their road to recovery
  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for rehabilitation

Qualifications

  • Active COTA certification with Washington state licensure or willingness to obtain before start
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • At least one year of experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred
  • Compassionate communicator who enjoys helping others reach their goals
  • Ability to work collaboratively with occupational therapists, nurses, and the care team

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and adaptive equipment
  • Strong clinical documentation and observation skills
  • Ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
  • Time management and organizational skills to keep up with a busy rehab caseload
  • Understanding of safety protocols and infection control practices
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus
